May Glymm Box

24 May

Good morning lovelies! Happy Thursday!

I can’t even believe it’s already Thursday and somehow I haven’t managed to get anything together to post this week, until now. In my defense, Monday was a holidays so technically it’s only two days…

I was also busy with this little nugget

Meow! My name is Geoffrey!

He’s our new little fur baby. Sometimes he scratches me in the face and bites my nose in the night. He looks cute, but he has an evil side too, I call it, Bad Geoffrey.

Anyways, back to the point of this whole post, Glymm! Wee.

I got this little beaut in the mail the other day and to my initial dismay, when I opened the outer box, there was no shiny pink box inside, just some white tissue for packaging.

I was like…wtf!? First no jelly beans and now THIS? (I know, I got me a tough life.) But then, I discovered that Glymm replaced the shiny pink box with something even better…

a shiny pink bag!

These are going to be awesome to have around because you can never have too many makeup bags. This is also Glymm’s way of cutting down on disposable packaging!

Now for the goods, please be patient because I didn’t get a card inside my bag with a list of the items so my descriptions might be a little messed!

First up, CK Shock for him and Her

I love me some perfume samples. I was so excited to get these, one for me and one for Mr. Delish! I love this CK Shock for her, I think it is pretty and perfect for spring and summer. I also liked the for him version but Mr. Delish wasn’t so into it.

Next up, Coola Mineral Matte Cucumber Face Sunscreen

Basically this is a mattifying  and non greasy facial primer with SPF. It smells good and with the SPF this would be perfect for summer to keep your face protected against the suns damaging rays!

Caudalie Vinosource Duo

One is a Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum which is supposed to be a serum that locks in the moisture in your skin before you apply any other moisturizer or cream.

The second is Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet which is a moisturizer you would apply after the serum.

The packaging is really cute but it is kind of hard to get the cream out, and I think there would be enough for 1 or maybe 2 applications, not 3 as Glymm stated on their card.

Next up, Nu-Me Hydro Punch Hydrating Conditioner

This is a pretty big sample! It would be perfect to pack when you are going away. I’d say it would last a week or so depending on how much you use.  The smell is quite floral but is more subtle once you dry and style your hair.

Then we have Mereadesso Lip Treats (mine was the burgandy color)

This is a full size product! Yippee, we all love the full sized stuff. This is basically a tinted lip butter. It is moisturizing but also adds color. I see some other people got the Sheer Pink color and I must say, I wish I got that color instead. The burgundy is really dark and I’m just not a dark lip person, so I will probably give this to a friend.

Last but not least, another Caudalie product, Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub

Crushed Cabernet? Does that mean it has wine in it? If so, I am in! This is a body scrub and it comes in this cute little jar. The smell is a little off putting but I will try ‘er out! I love body scrubs, again they are great for summer because they get rid of any flaky skin that you can get from all the hot & dry weather.

All in all, this months box was well worth the $10! I noticed the price has now gone up to $12 which is still more than a fair price, but I am happy I bought my year of Glymm when it was still $10 a month :)

If you are looking to get one of these babies, you can sign up here and get one of these little boxes of magic every month.

Phew, that was quite the post, Geoffrey’s just plum tired.

That’s him and Mr. Delish, the person who “hated” cats when I first met him. Umm…ya, I think this photo begs to differ.

Have a lovely Thursday friends!

Purses by -tascha

26 Apr

I meant to get around to this post a little earlier this morning but I got a little busy. This is something I really wanted to share with you though, so better late than never.

My good friend Tascha is a wonderfully creative and stylish person. She’s always wearing the latest trends and so it makes sense that she would put her creativity into her own brand. My lovely friend has started
Purses by -tascha  and she has begun selling her purses on Etsy.

I recently helped her with a photoshoot of all her purses so she could get her Etsy shop ready. You know what the best part about that was? Tascha named a purse after me! Introducing, the Jill clutch:

Beauty! Bright Aztec print and this is just my style!

Some of the other purses she has to offer are:

The Carley available in Coral & White or Black & White

Bold and beautiful chevron print!

The Danna clutch.

And one of her newest creations and my new favorite, the Jessica clutch.

Gorgeous and perfect for spring and summer!

If you guys adore her creations as much as I do, why not go on by and take a look at her shop.
Her prices are extremely reasonable too! All the ones I’ve shown here are under $35!

I’ll see you all tomorrow with a yummy Take Out Fake Out recipe!!

April Glymm Box

25 Apr

Hey everyone, I’ve been MIA again and I apologize. I will be back again this week with a really fun new recipe!

Couple things before we dig into this delicious box of beauty products.

1. Does anyone else have a sudden onset case of killer allergies?? I really hope it’s not just me, ’cause I’m dying over here. Usually, I slowly notice myself sneezing and having itchy eyes but I literally woke up on Friday and wanted to claw my eyeballs out. I’ve also been non stop sneezing and had a stuffed nose since then. I’ve been taking allergy medication everyday and it hasn’t helped as of yet. Not fun.

2. Last night after making a delicious dinner, I sat down and said out loud to Mr. Delish, “ooh I think I’m going to have some of those Birthday Cake Oreos with milk for dessert.”  Mr. Delish responds by laughing and saying he already ate them all.

Now a little back story on the guy we like to call Mr. Delish (p.s his name is Chris and he thinks its freaky that I call him Mr. Delish on here.) Chris is probably the most sarcastic person I know. He rarely gives you a straight answer when you ask him something.

So automatically when he laughs and tells me that he ate the ENTIRE package of Birthday Oreo’s that I had purchased NOT EVEN 2 days prior to this and spent 3 weeks searching for because stores around these parts don’t carry them, I thought he was joking.

So I laughed and was like, “yeah, sure Chris.” Then he tells me “No I’m serious, I ate them all.” At this point I am unsure whether he is still joking or not. So I go take a look in the cupboard and sure enough, he legitimately ate the entire bag. 2 days people! This is what I have to live with!

Anyways, let’s set aside the anger and get on to some beauty, shall we?

Another beautiful Glymm box arrived in the mail for me and I would love to share with you what we got this month!

As always, a card describing the items in the box as well as how much the full version of the product costs.

First up, We have a $100 off card for NuMe styling tools.

If you are looking to buy some styling tools, this is a great opportunity.

Next, we have a post card and Sample from Atelier Cologne.

The scent is Orange Sanguine. It is a very pretty smelling perfume and I will definitely wear it this spring and summer!

Then we have some samples of Free Your Mane Sulfate Free Shampoo and Conditioner

I usually like to save these for traveling because they really come in handy, so I didn’t try these. I stashed ’em away.

Then we have a mini Lucia soap sample.

The scent I received is Mandarin and Tomato Flower. The scent is nice but quite strong. I think I will save this for someone that likes stronger scents.

And last but definitely not least, we have a FULL size Mai Couture Social Gloss.

FULL size people! Valued at $28. Win!

The color I received is Femme Fatale and it is gorgeous. I looked online at the other colors and they are all lovely, but this is my fave.

Once again, if you are so inclined to get one of these little babies for yourself, check out Glymm’s website here.

See you tomorrow with some beautiful purses I want to share with you all!

March Glymm Box

22 Mar

Hey Ya’ll! I’m back with another Beauty post. Two in one week! Wee.

This just goes to show that someone may be busier moving furniture around and playing Draw Something for iphone, when someone should be actually in the kitchen cooking up some things to put on this blog. Someone is sorry! But not really cause draw something is really fun and addictive. I almost had a meltdown yesterday when it wasn’t working.

This Glymm box made my month when I opened it the other day. I have to say BEST Glymm box so far! Maybe that’s cause they accidentally I’m special and they wanted to send me two extra products that weren’t on the list. Fun!

Okay let’s go.

Included was a card with a code for a free Anastasia lip gloss as well as free shipping that you can use on your next order from the beauty boutique! You’ll also got a sample of the gloss which I will show you in a minute.

Here is everything:

Look at that box full of goodies. Seriously best.time.ever when you get this in the mail because it is always a total surprise.

First up, Anastasia Hydrafull Gloss. This is that sample size gloss I was talking about. So you can try ‘er out and then get a full version on your next order if you like it. I really liked this gloss, however the color I got which was called “Moi” was not really my style. Kind of a dark dusty rose color. But like I said the gloss itself is great.

Next up, M. Asam Magic Fini Concealer

At first I thought this was some type of face cream until I opened it up and saw the color. The sample is pretty large if you just use it for spot concealer. Unfortunately, the color of this is way too dark for my skin tone. Let’s just say, I’m a little pasty right now (come on, summer!)

Next up, Ocean Nail Polish (Full Size) the color I got was White Satina

It’s kind of hard to tell in this photo, but the White Satina color was a really pretty opalescent white. I’m wearing it today and it looks really pretty.

Now for the last thing that was supposed to be in the box. NU.ME feather hair extensions.

Yay! I have been really wanting to try feather extensions but didn’t want to spend the money to get it done. These say you can put them in yourself, but we’ll see how that goes! I’m kind of a klutz. My favorite part about these is that they are turquoise which is my absolute favorite color. The package includes 3 about 1/4 inch wide feather extensions.

Now for my random freebie products.

Coup D’Eclat Instant Facial Energizer. I haven’t tried this yet, I am always careful when it comes to anti aging creams because more often than not, my skin will break out after using them.

And last but certainly not least, Principessa Bacio Me Lip Balm

Love this for a few different reasons:

1. It smells and tastes like cake batter (not that I was tasting it….ahem…)

2. Its a glossy balm, so you can wear it like lip gloss but its good for your lips at the same time!

3. It is made by a Vancouver company! Goooo Vancouver!

And that sums up the Glymm box for this month. If you are interested in getting yourself a subscription for Glymm, click here!

February Glymm Box

20 Mar

Hey Everyone! It’s me, Miss Delish. I know I’ve been lost in space this week, and kind of last week too. Okay I suck but we were moving and unpacking and things were crazy, so that is my excuse.

Luckily for you I have a super fun beauty post for you all today. My Glymm box came in a while ago but it was kind of lost in the moving shuffle and I just recently found it and realized I totally forgot to do a post about it.

Let’s Go!

First up, Mai Couture 2-1 Oil Blotting/Bronzing Paper

These are a great idea. They are a 2 in 1 oil blotting sheets and bronzing sheets. These would be great for people who tend to have oilier skin and wear bronzer daily. Normally if you just use a regular oil absorbing sheet, a lot of your makeup (including bronzer) is absorbed and rubbed off by the sheet. So this product would be perfect to refresh your bronzer!

Secondly, Glamglow Tingling and Exfoliating Mud Mask

This is enough for about 2-3 treatments and while I haven’t tried it yet myself, I have read reviews online and apparently this stuff works great!

Next up, Sula Natural Eyeshadow (Full Size)

Gotta love full size product. This came in a nude-ish color and would be perfect the perfect base color for many different eye makeup looks.

And last but not least, Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus (Full Size)

I love Burt’s Bees Lip Balms. I have about 20 of them and always have a few in my purse so I was happy to get another one to add to my collection. If you are thinking of purchasing a subscription to Glymm, click here!

All in all it was a great box with lots of fun goodies. My March box arrived this week as well so I will make sure to post about that before the end of the week!

Have a great day everyone!
