About

I don’t know what it is about writing an “about me” section, that makes me feel like I’m in fifth grade all over again. Maybe it is that it feels kind of forced, like you have to think of how to explain yourself to an audience. Writing out relevant facts that describe your personality, your hobbies, your likes and dislikes, feels kind of awkward. I don’t think anyone really cares about what kind of ice cream I like, or how my personality is outgoing and bubbly, like, totally!

How about I just tell you this:

-my name is Jillianne

-I’m 25 ( but my friends tell me that I was born “old”)

-I live in Surrey which is a suburb of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

-Oh and I like food…just slightly.

I like to cook, bake and entertain and of course my full time job has absolutely nothing to do with food. I started this blog for that very reason, so I can write and talk about food and hopefully interact with some other people that have the same interests. And that’s it.

Oh and this is me and the boyfriend…we’ll call him Mr. Delish

Wow Jill this is so amazing – what a fantastic blog – I love it :) I grew up with your momma on Haida Gwaii <3 I was a few years older and my older sister Randi and her older sister Barbie all played together with many cousins and friends. My sister Randi's daughter Chelsey (they both still live on Haida Gwaii) also has an amazing blog started when she had my great niece Zoey Michelle so its a funny mommy blog – i have attached the link so you can see hers as well – she LOVES to bake – you guys can compare recipes. http://life-asweknowit.weebly.com/index.html

Anyway your site has been added to my favorites – I really look forward to reading all your recipes.

    Tammi
PS Give your momma a big hug for me

    Hi Jill,

I saw that you were from Surrey, and thought how cool someone from my part of town, then I saw a picture of Starpointe, and was really excited as you are one of my neighbors! I live in Starpointe 1. Anyways, your dessert looked so good and I was hoping you’d win. You did really well though (Laura Calder was wowed by it!)Anyways, I checked out your blog and looks like I will be trying out some of your amazing recipes soon. Dear Jill,
I followed last year’s R2R very closely and have every intention of doing the same again for this year. I loved your Pot de Creme concept and would have enjoyed trying it as part of the R2R competition. Something tells me that although your R2R journey has ended, you will be seeing a massive surge in your blog traffic – you can certainly count me in! I look forward to following Miss Delish and making what look to be some pretty tasty goodies! Thank you for sharing your passion with the rest of the world. :^)

    Sincerely,
    Rebecca
