Purses by Tascha Giveaway

31 Oct

Good morning everyone!

As I promised yesterday on Facebook, I wanted to thank you all for your advice on the YouTube question, I am doing a fun giveaway! My girl Tascha agreed to let me giveaway one of her fab “Jill” Clutches!

YES folks, this clutch is named after me and I am oh-so-proud! Especially because it is her best selling item! It is not surprising though, because it is gorgeous. I sport mine all the time and I would love for one of you great people to have one too!

Okay, so here it goes. THE RULES. I know, I know, rules are meant to be broken, blah, blah, blah.

Yeah, well you best not be breakin’ the rules here or you won’t win the clutch now, will ya? Yes this is a western movie and there ain’t room in this town for the both of us!

Ahem, ok back to the rules.

1. You must enter by answering the question in the rafflecopter widget below! You can get extra entries by liking our pages on facebook, following us on twitter, ect. See the widget for more info on that.

2. This contest is open to US & Canadian residents only. Sorry! (We’re not that rich, I didn’t win the $25,000, remember?)

3. Contest begins NOW and ends on November 7th at Midnight.

4. Winner will be announced sometime on November 8th. (I’m not promising a time, cause plans can change, man.)

5. Winner MUST claim their prize by emailing me their full shipping address by November 15th! If the prize is not claimed by November 15th, I will re-draw for a new winner (this rule is a result of a previous contest shenanigan.)

Okay, that is enough for the rules, just one more thing! For those of you that don’t win or those of you that just want another awesome clutch, Tascha has given my readers a special 25% discount for anything on her Etsy Shop!  The code is ‘delish‘ !!

Good Luck Everyone!!

New Page: Sponsor Me

30 Oct

You may have noticed that I have a new page up there at the top menu, titled “Sponsor Me.”

Now, I wish that the world was filled with sunshine and rainbows and that bloggers wouldn’t have to ask for sponsorship for their sites. However, that isn’t really the way that things work, sadly enough. Living in the real world, means that there are food costs, equipment costs, website costs ect. Those things all add up and that is not including my time either.

I love doing this and I wouldn’t stop for any reason, but the time has come to get sponsors for my site so that I can keep making Miss Delish better and better!

If you think we would be a good fit together, and you are looking to get a little more traffic to your site, I would love to introduce you to my wonderful readers. I’ve priced the ads very economically, with the most expensive ad being $30 for one month! That’s a dollar a day people!

Thanks everyone :)

Pumpkin & 3 Cheese Cannelloni

29 Oct

Good Morning!

How was everyone’s weekend? Was it spooky?

I went to a Halloween party on Saturday and my friend dressed as a “Big Fat Gypsy Wedding” bride, and I dressed as her bridesmaid. Let’s just say there was a whole lot of trashy going on. Pretty sure the pictures are highly inappropriate BUT hey, what other day of the year can you dress up as WHATEVER you want, and it would be totally acceptable.

I’m telling you, there is no other day.

Well I mean, there is Sunday when I find it totally appropriate to wear sweatpants that have a hole in the butt. I have other sweatpants, trust me, I do. I just like the holey ones. There’s something about them that’s just better. I also like the suspense of the possibility that someone will knock at the door and I have to madly scramble to put different pants on.

It’s exhilarating.

Anyways, now that I have confirmed you have completely lost your appetite. Let’s get to some food, shall we?

{Swirl Pops}

26 Oct

Good morning lovelies! I hope everyone is having a FAB Friday so far.

I wanted to stop in today and tell you about a great local (to the lower mainland) baker! I got in touch with Nicole Jackin’s, creater of {Swirl Pops} after I appeared on Recipe to Riches. She was just one of the lovely people that sent me a sweet encouraging message. Nicole told me that she had auditioned in Vancouver as well for Recipe to Riches and got a golden ticket too! Unfortunately, she did not make it any further than that, but she didn’t let that get her down.

Nicole started {Swirl Pops} which is a bakery that makes delicious cake pops. The best thing about it, is that she doesn’t just make regular old vanilla and chocolate pops, she swirls in every flavor under the sun! UM hello, Orange Creamsicle, Coconut Cream Pie and Chocolate Salted Caramel Bacon, plus many, many, more!

I just thought her story was great, I responded to her email and asked if she would be okay with me writing a little blurb about her company and posting it on Miss Delish! Nicole loved the idea and she even brought me over some {Swirl Pops} to photograph and ahemmmm…TASTE.

Balsamic Beets & Greens with Bacon

24 Oct

Good morning everyone, I hope everyone is having a fabulous Wednesday so far!

I have a yummy recipe for you, but first, let’s talk about moving.

I hate it.

That is all. Just joking, that would be kind of a let down hey?

Currently, Mr. Delish and I are in the process of packing and moving. YES, again. If you watched the Recipe to Riches episode, you may have noticed I said we just moved into our place, which we did. Now we are moving again. It’s kind of a long story, but in a nutshell, we have been renting and we would like to buy our own place. As many of you may have experienced yourself, it is very difficult to save to purchase your own home when you are renting, so my parents have been nice enough to let us move into their basement, just until we can get our down payment together.

Anyways, I have been packing up all our stuff and I have a couple problems with this whole moving thing:

1. We have some stuff that, I swear to goodness, we have moved three times, and never used ONCE. Not once. 3 moves, no use-y. I’m done with that stuff.

2. Mr. Delish has at least 2 boxes of random crap, and I mean random. Like a box of paperwork, mixed with some miscellaneous hardware, mixed with some batteries, mixed with some change, mixed with some more random crap. It’s taken all of my self control to not throw those stupid boxes out the window.

3. The boxes mentioned in #2 are in the same category as the stuff from #1

Ya. So I am not having a great time with it. Moving is not fun.

You know what is fun? Beets!

Hey, everyone’s idea of fun is different, okay? Don’t judge.
